A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to invalid email addresses under the same domain. For example, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all mailbox with ease in case you’ve got a shared web hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet incredibly intuitive, and it will enable you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with only several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have set up will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each one of them you will find a small-size "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it again will disable it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this option enabled or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to configure a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulties even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you’ve set up using your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will let you know if you have already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you do not need this feature anymore, you can disable it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
